Thailand is concerned to deepen investment cooperation

Thai investors are considering the possibility of implementing a set of projects in Kazakhstan in the solar energy, construction and solid waste management. This was announced by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Chatchawan Sakornsin during the working meeting

As part of the meeting with the CEO of NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC Meirzhan Yusupov, the Thai side was briefed on the investment climate, financial instruments, key advantages of project implementation and measures of state support for investors in Kazakhstan. Furthermore, the delegates were informed of the operational conditions at special economic zones taken Astana-Technopolis SEZ as an example, Kazakhstan’s renewable energy market and the auction system.

During the meeting, the CEO of Wyncoast Industrial Park, Mr. Jak Chamikorn confirmed his interest in developing business in the alternative energy in Kazakhstan, as well as his readiness to implement a number of investment projects in various directions.  

It is worth noting that Wyncoast Industrial Park is a public company, listed on the Thai Stock Exchange since 1990. Along with this, as part of the working meeting, investors confirmed their intention to implement investment projects on the basis of a public-private partnership mechanism. Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further close cooperation in the implementation of investment projects.

For reference: Wyncoast Industrial Park owns and operates an Industrial Zone with an area of 11 hectares located 52 km from Bangkok, providing 5 types of sites, providing offices and conference rooms, warehouses, outdoor areas, roofing areas and apartments.
