Over 2,000 business organizations launched in Ust-Kamenogorsk
Over the past year, more than 2,000 new business organizations were launched in Ust-Kamenogorsk city. A unique glass production was launched in the regional center by the Independence Day, a correspondent of Khabar 24 reports.
This is the first enterprise in the country and in the CIS, capable of providing consumers with the whole range of necessary services in this area. Moreover, not only industrial giants, but also the population will be able to use the products.
Ust-Kamenogorsk is the industrial center of Kazakhstan. Large enterprises form the basis of the economy of the entire region. But now it is important to simultaneously increase the volume of small and medium-sized businesses, experts say. Moreover, the sector has huge potential.
Zhaksylyk Omar, Akim of Ust-Kamenogorsk:
- In the early years of Independence, the city had no small and medium-sized business. And over the years of Independence, it has increased and amounted to 30,000. These are new jobs, these are new enterprises. This is an increase in tax revenue. Today, we collect 32 billion of tax from 30,000 small and medium, medium-sized businesses.
And this figure will grow. New enterprises are opening up in the city. This is glass production. Its uniqueness is that, the only ones in the CIS, they were able to arrange the production of various products in one place. This is the triplex for car windshields, and double-glazed windows, and now tempered glass. The new workshop with the most modern numerical equipment cost KZT 250 million. And the plant was launched thanks to concessional lending under the state program.
Konstantin Borodastov, Director of the enterprise:
- In the last 5 years, we have built 3 buildings. I am sure that this would not have been possible if we had not received such tremendous support from the state! Support rate makes up to 80 percent. A small enterprise, like ours, could not have made such a powerful impetus in development by our own means for such a period!
At the same time, the production of tempered glass is in such demand in the region that we have already had a line of customers. Plants and industrial giants are interested in the products.
Yerzhan Mandiyev, Head of Automobile Plant under construction:
- There is, of course, a good reserve of competencies, something that has not yet been available. There is tempered glass production in Kazakhstan. This production of tempered glass is possible for use in the automotive industry. Since another form can be made, not just ordinary.
Andrey Lazarev, Executive Director of Industrial Enterprise:
- We have a very large construction project in Karaganda region. This is the construction of a new plant. The project is estimated at approximately USD 400 million. Therefore, of course, the products that this company manufactures are important to us. Plus, we constantly upgrade our facilities, conduct repairs where glass is also required.
And tempered glass is better than usual in that it simply crumbles under pressure. Without forming sharp fragments, and not injuring staff. For industrial facilities - this is the key to the safety of employees. In addition, the plant’s products are widely used in housing construction. Only in the regional center this year, 47 multi-storey buildings with a total area of 346,000 square meters are being built.
