Over 200 German companies got acquainted with investment opportunities of Kazakhstan
The international exhibition of industrial technologies HANNOVER MESSE 2018 took place in Hannover - in the largest exhibition center of the world. At the exhibition, the national company Kazakh Invest presented the pavilion with the country’s investment opportunities, including key projects for investment in Kazakhstan.
As part of the forum, Deputy Chairman of the Board of “NC “Kazakh Invest” JSC Marat Birimzhan held bilateral meetings with representatives of the German business community where they discussed issues of the investment climate, as well as participation in the Privatization Program.
So, during the meetings with companies “E.On”" and “EDF Energy”, Marat Birimzhan told representatives of these organizations about the system of auctions, established in Kazakhstan since May this year to receive guaranteed tariffs for the purchase of electric energy for a period of 15 years as part of implementation of RES projects.
The most interesting projects for investors have been discussed in a more detailed way with the companies “SAP SE”, “ZEISSIG GmbH and CO.”, “Bertrand”, “Kuka”, “Cloos” and “LappGroup”.
During the forum at the session Marat Birimzhan provided detailed information on the investment attractiveness of the country, dedicated to support of industrial and infrastructural projects in Kazakhstan.
«The government of Kazakhstan has identified four key industries for creating new jobs, increasing exports and tax revenues: logistics, food-processing industry, chemical industry and mechanical engineering. For example, Kazakhstan is closely connected with China, the Central Asia and the Near East. This creates an opportunity to benefit by reducing delivery terms and diversification routes», - Marat Birimzhan said at the opening of the forum.
Also, during the forum Marat Birimzhan told about the niche projects: “Kazakh Invest helps in developing original project ideas, the so-called niche projects. Last year we had already prepared 50 projects which were proposed to foreign investors. In 2018 the national company intends to add 100 more similar projects. We’ve already seen the first results - potential investors are interested in some projects and negotiations began”.
