The Head of State received the German economic delegation

The meeting addressed the issues of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany.

Welcoming the representatives of the German Government and Business, the Head of State highlighted the country's interest in deepening partnerships in priority sectors, such as energy, industry, agriculture, transport and logistics, education, science, technical manpower training.

Currently, the Government has prepared a pool of 800 prospective investment projects. Moreover, Kazakhstan is ready to create favorable conditions for attracting German companies in our country.

- Germany is the most important partner of Kazakhstan in the European Union. More than 600 enterprises with the participation of German capital are successfully operating in Kazakhstan. There is significant potential for both boosting trade and increasing investments, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.   

The President expressed interest in Germany's experience in training technical manpower. In particular, Kazakhstan is exploring the possibility of opening Representative Offices of German technical institutes, laboratories, research centers and competence centers to improve the professional level of Kazakhstan specialists.

The head of the delegation, the Co-Chair of the Kazakhstan-German Intergovernmental Commission Dominik Schnichels, highly appreciated the level of interaction between government agencies and business entities of the two countries. He stressed the efficiency of the Special Governmental Group for work with German companies. The representatives of the delegation also expressed their interest in the participation of German business in the development of the Trans-Caspian transport corridor, as well as in the development of deposits and cooperation in the energy sector.
