Investment Business Forum took place in Milan

Milan, December 13, 2021 - As part of marking the 30th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Milan hosted a Business Forum called “Kazakhstan’s Investment Attractiveness and Economic Cooperation Development between Kazakhstan and Italy during the pandemic”, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Italian Republic with the support of the Government of the Lombardy region, the Kazakh-Italian Trade Association (ACIK) and National Company Kazakh Invest JSC.

The speakers from Kazakhstan side were: Deputy CEO of NC Kazakh Invest JSC Zhandos Temirgali and Deputy CEO of National Company Kazakh Tourism Kairat Sadvakasov, Director General of the International Center for Oil and Gas Engineering Development of Marat Karimov, as well as the representatives of the N. Nazarbayev Fund and SK-Pharmacy LLP.

The speakers from the Italian side were: a deputy of the Italian Parliament - a member of the Kazakhstan-Italy Friendship Group Marco Osnato, President of the Kazakhstan-Italian Chamber of Commerce Paolo Ghirelli and the representatives of Italian companies.

Opening the Business Forum, in his welcoming speech, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Erbolat Sembayev noted that over 30 years our country has become a modern democratic state with a progressively developing economy recognized by the global community. He also highlighted that Kazakhstan attaches particular importance to relations with Italy, considering it as one of the most important strategic partners.  

“During the period of independence, a solid architecture of bilateral cooperation between our countries has been built,” the Ambassador said.

The Business Forum was attended by over 50 leaders and the representatives of Italian companies, as well as over 130 participants online. The event presented Kazakhstan’s investment and tourism opportunities and the prospects for trade and economic cooperation development between the two countries.

A photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence, as well as books by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev and Great Kazakh Thinker and Poet Abai Kunanbayev were also presented to the attention of the forum participants.
