Kazakhstan’s investment potential presented in the SCO Secretariat

Beijing, June 30, 2021 - 

The event was organized by the SCO Secretariat and the China Overseas Development Association (CODA) with the support of the Administrative Committee of the Pilot Zone of the China-SCO Regional Trade and Economic Cooperation (Qingdao city).

The Forum was attended by over 100 participants, including top managers of large Chinese companies, representatives of government agencies, public organizations and the media. They were presented the trade and economic potential of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan (the SCO member states), as well as their investment support policies. The Heads of the Representative Offices of NC Kazakh Invest JSC, accredited in the PRC, NWF Samryk-Kazyna JSC and the Astana International Financial Center introduced Chinese entrepreneurs to the Kazakhstan’s business climate, as well as the investment opportunities.

Furthermore, a panel session took place as part of the Forum, where the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to China Gabit Koishibayev introduced the participants to the achievements of Kazakhstan in economic development, promising areas of Kazakh-Chinese trade and economic cooperation, as well as measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to further boost investment climate in the country.

Following the event, a series of B2B business meetings took place, during which the concerned parties were able to hold substantive negotiations to discuss further steps of their cooperation.
