Reinforcing investment cooperation with the State of Sarawak discussed in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, 19 June, 2021 - Malaysian entrepreneurs are preparing for economic recovery and are showing interest in the Kazakhstan market.
In the conditions of a complete lockdown in Malaysia, the Embassy of Kazakhstan jointly with NC Kazakh Invest JSC, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the State of Sarawak Awang Daud and with the participation of the representatives of the Malaysian business community of this state held a round table to reinforce economic cooperation with Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by companies operating in the sectors such as infrastructure, education, oil and gas industry and equipment manufacturing.
The Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan briefed the business community on the prospects for investment cooperation with Kazakhstan. In turn, NC Kazakh Invest JSC presented the Kazakhstan’s business climate and instruments of state support for investors.
Malaysian business representatives showed particular interest in the opportunities of the Kazakhstan market, as well as the activities and opportunities of the Astana International Financial Center. The participants of the event agreed to organize a visit of a business delegation to Kazakhstan for a more detailed discussion of cooperation, following the easing of the restrictions related to the pandemic.
