Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities presented in Shanghai
KAZAKH INVEST presented Kazakhstan’s investment potential and measures of investment support as part of the economic forum “The First Shanghe Business ConnectForum” in Shanghai, held with the participation of representatives of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The event is dedicated to the prospects of enhancing the regional trade and economic cooperation, as well as developing electronic commerce and “fintech” industry in the SCO countries and countries located along the Chinese Initiative “One Belt One Road”.
The meeting was attended by about 50 Chinese companies, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps of Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and other countries.
At the event, the SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov and the Secretary-General of the World Alliance of Free Trade Zones Yang Yongxin welcomed the participants.
In turn, the General Representative of KAZAKH INVEST in China Kuanysh Amantai introduced the Forum participants and Chinese companies to the investment climate of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the potential for investment cooperation with Kazakhstani companies.
Moreover, during the event, KAZAKH INVEST held a number of meetings with representatives of Chinese companies, during which the parties discussed the possibilities of establishing investment cooperation in such sectors as agriculture, food industry, new technologies, e-commerce and medicine.
Following the meeting, KAZAKH INVEST intends to further study the possibility of investment cooperation with a number of regions and enterprises of Eastern China.
The forum is organized by the Shanghe Business Connect Business Club in cooperation with the SCO Secretariat (the Shanghai Cooperation Organization).
