Turkish entrepreneurs intend to enter Kazakhstan organic agricultural products to the US market

The co-owner and CEO of Dervisoglu Group arrived in Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov. As part of the visit, the leader of the Turkish agricultural market is going to hold meetings and negotiations with Kazakhstan farmers, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

As previously reported, in October this year the Minister of Agriculture held a set of meetings with the heads of large agricultural enterprises of Turkey, where he presented information on the development of agriculture and the production potential of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, as well as called on to actively invest in the country's agricultural sector. Moreover, Saparkhan Omarov guaranteed practical assistance in organizing cooperation with the farmers of the Republic.

A number of companies responded to the encouragement of the Head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan (more details here and there) including Dervisoglu Group. It is the second company among the TOP500 enterprises of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Industry which specializes in the cultivation, processing and export of organic products in the United States.

Dervisoglu Group, with an annual turnover of organic products of $285 million, is interested in the possibility of cooperation in the field of organic farming as well as establishing a processing and packaging plant for oil and grain crops. As part of the meeting, the parties agreed on a visit to Kazakhstan in the near future.

Today, Minister Saparkhan Omarov received a delegation from Dervisoglu Group in Nur-Sultan. Following the meeting under the Ministry of Agriculture, the shareholder of the company Sait Dervisoglu and the technical director Mehmet Buchak will hold negotiations with Kazakhstan farmers who are engaged in the cultivation of organic agricultural products. Among other issues, the parties intend to address the possibility of obtaining an American NOP certificate for Kazakhstan products for subsequent export to the US market.
