A large feedlot to open in East Kazakhstan
Rural development - through financial support of producers. One of the largest feedlots in the country opens in East Kazakhstan. A project for fish production for export is also being implemented, the correspondent of Khabar 24 reports.
All this became possible thanks to the preferential programs of the Agrarian Credit Corporation of the KazAgro National Managing Holding. The Corporation financed 298 investment projects. For a total amount of almost KZT273 million.
The Elim-Ai Kokpekty Agro-Industrial Complex is a real driver of the development of the region. Thanks to measures of state support in the region, a 5,000 cattle feedlot is being commissioned. This Complex provides the villagers with jobs, helps to develop partners - smaller farms. And now there are more than 300 of them.
Bolat Bekberdinov, Head of the Elim-Ai Kokpekty Complex:
- This is a regional project, as we intended, for the development of the region. It is for the development of small farms. So that they can sell their livestock there. Jobs are also being opened there. We need at least 3 workers to keep 100 cows.
The plans are to buy up to 10,000 heads per year! After fattening, the meat will be exported to foreign markets. The project cost is almost one billion tenge. Including, 600 million is a loan from an agricultural credit corporation. Its main advantage is that the rate below the market rate and the grace period for payments.
Erbol Kubentayev, Chief of the branch of the Agrarian Credit Corporation of East Kazakhstan region:
“At the same time, the infrastructure around agricultural producers is also developing. Villages are being revived, new jobs appear.
Another project is actively developing in Samara settlement - a farm for breeding valuable fish species. Thanks to a preferential loan of KZT50 million, a small plant has turned into a large-scale production.
Bakyt Mubarakova, Deputy Director of Kuzmich LLP:
- We have purchased refrigerators, refrigeration equipment to freeze fish. This is the most basic factor. We export to Russia, China, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The state and business jointly ensure the food safety. At the same time, developing the export potential of the country.
