Investors from Germany presented their experience in digitalization and technological equipment of industries

The video conference meeting of representatives of the central government agencies and the investing company was attended by the representatives of the top management of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Germany Dauren Karipov, the Heads of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC, as well as the leadership of Siemens in Russia and Central Asia and country and industry units of the technology company. During the meeting, the participants discussed the current situation and prospects for cooperation.

It’s worth noting that within the framework of the working visit to Germany in February this year, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Executive Director of Siemens AG Joe Kaeser to discuss prospects for strengthening investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Siemens.

Today's online meeting has become one of the intermediate steps in agreeing and implementing joint plans. During the online meeting, the special attention was paid to discussing the implementation of the agreements under the Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the global technology concern Siemens, represented by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and the President of Siemens in Russia and Central Asia Aleksandr Liberov. Thus, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Siemens agreed to cooperate in such areas as digitalization and automation of the industrial sector, intelligent transmission, electricity distribution and sustainable energy generation. Today's conversation made particular emphasis on the issues of digitalization as well as development of the healthcare sector and the energy industry.

According to the investor, the company is interested in developing technological cooperation and local experience in the field of technology, including the introduction of new methods and the modern technological base. The representatives of the company announced their readiness to apply the existing experience in the field of digitalization of industries, which involves the joint development of priority areas for digitalization, improving the regulatory framework, training specialists, investing in digital technologies and developing infrastructure jointly with the Kazakh side.

While discussing the digitalization in the healthcare sector, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Almas Aidarov stressed the need to study possible points of interaction with partners, as highly qualified personnel is to be developed along with the equipment of medical facilities. Almas Aidarov also offered a number of proposals in order to further develop relations with the investor. Along with this, NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC is instructed to provide assistance and service support to the investor in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the energy sector, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Siemens considered the prospects of using new concepts - intelligent management systems.

All the proposals announced will be substantively studied by a separate working group with the participation of interested government agencies with applying an integrated approach to identify potentially effective projects.
