To send additional KZT100 billion to support farmers
Issues of spring field works should become a top concern of the Government and Akimats. That was stated by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the televised address on the republican channels related to the issues of emergency situations in the country and anti-crisis measures in the economy and social sphere, a correspondent of Kapital.kz business information center reports.
“From the point of view of food security, every day is critically important,” the Head of the State said.
Moreover, it is extremely important to conduct spring field works in a timely manner.
“KZT70 billion will be allocated from the budget and directed to farmers through the Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC. The rate for end-use borrowers will not exceed 5%. I instruct the Government to direct additional KZT100 billion for these purposes within the framework of the Economy of Simple Things Program. The ultimate rate under this program was unified in all sectors and amounts to 6%. First of all, we need to support small and medium-sized farms”, the Head of the State said.
The President tasked the Government to reduce the cost of diesel fuel for agricultural producers to 165 tenge per liter or 15% of the market price.
“For this purpose, about 390,000 tons of diesel fuel will be allocated at a reduced price. I emphasize that cheaper fuel should reach the final receivers - farmers. The work of so-called “operators” who have to ensure the delivery must be absolutely transparent. The Government and the Prosecutor General’s Office should provide the appropriate monitoring and control in the regions”, said Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev.
