Investment seminar titled One Belt, One Road gathered investment experts in Beijing
Kazakhstan's investment opportunities were presented as part of the One Belt, One RoadInvestment Seminar in Beijing. The event, organized by NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in China, jointly with representatives of the international consulting company Deloitte gathered more than 100 representatives of the Chinese business community. Among them are such large companies as CITIC Group, CNPC, Chemchina, Sinochem, WH Group and others.
During the event, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of KAZAKH INVEST Birzhan Kaneshev told about the measures of state support for business and the benefits of investing in the economy of Kazakhstan: “There are many sectors in Kazakhstan that provide foreign companies with attractive investment opportunities. For example, agribusiness, petrochemicals, metallurgy, tourism and pharmaceuticals. Being a reliable partner for foreign investors in Kazakhstan, KAZAKH INVEST provides with expert advice and helps investors choose the most suitable projects for investment”, said the speaker.
In turn, LY Yadan the Deputy Secretary of China Agricultural Exchange Association noted the great potential for cooperation between the companies of the two countries in the agricultural sector: “There are great opportunities for bilateral cooperation both in establishing supplies of high-quality Kazakhstan agricultural and food products to China, and in the joint production of these products in Kazakhstan using advanced Chinese technologies for the market of the Republic of Kazakhstan and export to the countries of the EAEU and China”.
In addition, during the seminar, over 20 representatives of the Kazakhstan business community presented their investment projects in the sectors of mining and metallurgy, chemistry and petrochemistry, transport and logistics, agribusiness.
Following the results of the presentation of Kazakhstani projects, B2B meetings were held between the companies of the two countries where they discussed prospects for cooperation. For a number of projects, agreements were reached on a more detailed exchange of information and carrying out mutual working visits.
It should be noted that this event to promote Kazakhstan’s investment projects with the participation of Kazakhstan initiating companies was held by KAZAKH INVEST in Beijing for the second year. By the way, this year Kazakhstan companies for the first time presented projects in the agricultural sector.
