KAZAKH INVEST signed memorandums in agricultural sector at Agricultural Forum in France
Investment opportunities of Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial complex, as well as measures of state support for investors were presented during a major agricultural forum in Rennes (France).
The event was attended by more than a hundred representatives of government agencies, agricultural associations, institutes and business circles of France.
During the forum, a delegation of the Vice Minister of Agriculture Rustem Kurmanov, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to France Zhan Galiyev, representatives of NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC, research centers and entrepreneurs held a range of meetings with the heads of large agricultural companies of France.
During the meetings, business representatives learnt about Kazakhstan's niche investment projects in scientific sector and processing of agricultural raw materials: meat and milk, potatoes, sugar beets, oilseeds, fruits, vegetables.
“France is one of the leaders in Europe for crops production and processing. Representatives of the French business express great interest in projects for livestock and crop production. At the same time, more than 30 new niche projects have been selected and packaged in the agricultural sector today. By the end of the year, it is planned to “pack” about 20 more projects jointly with local business. In general, in the near future, according to our estimates, the additional and unimplemented potential in these areas is about USD 10 billion”, said Saule Sabyr, a Project Manager of NC “KAZAKH INVEST JSC.
Following the meetings, memoranda of cooperation were signed between KAZAKH INVEST and the French companies MERIAL, LosteGroup for production of vaccines for animals and introduction of know-how in processing of beef meat products.
