The World Bank is ready to invest USD500 million in cattle breeding development in Kazakhstan, a correspondent of Khabar 24 reports.
This was the result of the negotiations between the Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov and representatives of the US Bank. Significant investments will be attracted by US companies. Following the meeting, the sides signed the relevant agreements.
Saparkhan Omarov, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
- We met with the US Secretary of Agriculture, the Governor of the State of Nebraska, leaders of large companies. We are negotiating on constructing an irrigation facilities manufacturing plant. Now we are negotiating with major livestock companies, major meat producers who will come with investments in Kazakhstan to build a meat processing plant and feedlots.
