Shell preparing a project of construction of a solar power system

Royal Dutch Shell is interested in further participation in the implementation of projects in the territory of Kazakhstan. That was announced by the Manager for International Prospecting and Mining Department of the Company Andrew Brown at the meeting with the Prime Minister Askar Mamin primeminister.kz informs.

It is marked that the sides considered the issues of joint activities in the development of Kashagan and Karachaganak fields, participation in the development of Kalamkas and Khazar wells in the Zhemchuzhinka section. Development of alternative energy sources is a promising direction for the company as well. Royal Dutch Shell studies a project of construction of a solar power system in Taraz.

The Head of the Government Askar Mamin said that the company is among the major investors. Today, the country is strengthening measures to ensure favorable conditions for investment projects, as well as mechanisms of protection of the rights of investors.

Following the meeting, the sides expressed their intention to expand areas of cooperation and implement new joint projects.
