A wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation discussed during the visit of Kazakhstan delegation to India

Indian companies will participate in the construction of solar power and coaling stations of Kazakhstan. The corresponding memorandum was signed between National Company Kazakh Invest and the largest power conglomerate of India NTPC Limited within the framework of the official visit of the Kazakhstan delegation to India. Delegates, chaired by the Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev, participated in the largest international conference PETROTECH-2019 dedicated to the issues of renewable energy sources, development of technologies for mineral exploration and extraction.

Minister Bozumbayev spoke at the session «Collaborating  for providing safe access to energy» where told in details about Kazakhstan’s energy potential, ongoing modernization of the energy sector in the country, and also invited the international investors to cooperate with the Republic of Kazakhstan in this very area.

Besides, the head of Energy Department held a meeting with the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India Dharmendra Pradhan. During the negotiations, the parties discussed how further collaboration could be carried out in relation to the oil-and-gas sector, prospects for cooperation  of Kazakhstan and Indian companies in the field of exploration and extraction of oil-and-gas deposits.

The issues of trade, economic and investment cooperation, benefits of integration of specific transport flows, as well as economic benefits  of using the transit capabilities of two countries were discussed within the framework of the negotiations with N. Sivasailam, the Special Secretary of the Department of Commerce. The stress was placed on the importance of the proposals of the Kazakhstan side related to establishing a Consortium that would connect a railway route Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran with Chabahar Port for transportation of cargoes in the direction of Central Asia - India.

In addition, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan E.Kosherbayev and the Ambassador B.Sarsenbayev met with P. Saran, Deputy National Security Advisor of India. The sides agreed to hold the 3rd high-level meeting of the Security Council of Kazakhstan and India this March.
