Malaysian businessmen got acquainted with investment opportunities of Kazakhstan
Almaty hosted Kazakhstan - Malaysia business-forum which resulted in the signing of 6 memorandums of cooperation. The Deputy Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakh Invest JSC Birzhan Kaneshev participated in the event.
The event is a landmark for strengthening of economic mutual relations between Kazakhstan and Malaysia. This is the first Kazakhstan - Malaysia business-forum within which the inauguration of Business Council of two countries took place.
The event was attended by representatives of over 100 Kazakhstan and Malaysian companies, government agencies. The Business Council is intended to become a platform for development of mutually beneficial partnership between business representatives of the two countries.
«Malaysia is a leading trading partner for Kazakhstan. Malaysia has got its own interest in Kazakhstan markets, in particular, in renewable energy sources, industry. We are currently working to provide medical, consulting, medical and other services», - the Ambassador of Malaysia to Kazakhstan Mohamad Bakri bin Said Abdul Rahman emphasized at the opening of the forum.
Kazakh Invest was actively involved in the organization of the forum. The Deputy Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakh Invest JSC Birzhan Kaneshev and Co-Chairman of Kazahstan- Malaysia Business Council Datuk Loo Took Gee signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance the cooperation.
During the forum, the leadership of Kazakh Invest also discussed prospects of cooperation with such major Malaysian companies as «ITRAMAS», «Tasstech International », «Pharmaniaga», «Halfmoon Bay», etc.
In addition, Kazakh Invest made a presentation on the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan for Malaysian businessmen.
