Over 50 Kazakhstan producers took part in Made in Kazakhstan trade and industrial exhibition
Today, Astrakhan hosted Made in Kazakhstan trade and industrial exhibition. The Kazakhstan delegation was chaired by Timur Toktabayev, the Vice-Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In his welcoming address Timur Toktabayev noted: «Being the participants of the Eurasian Economic Union, our countries have a great potential for the further improvement of economic and investment interaction. This is demonstrated by a 24 per cent increase of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Astrakhan region (USD17 million) since the beginning of this year».
The basic goal of the exhibition is to promote products of Kazakhstan commodity producers into the Russian market, as well as to develop the trade and economic cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia.
This year, the trade and industrial fair was attended by more than 50 Kazakhstan companies of different sectors, the business-community of the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation (Astrakhan, Volgograd, Kalmykia, Krasnodar Krai, Rostov regions), potential investors and financial institutions (banks), representatives of government authorities, heads of regional Trade Chambers, Unions and Associations, tour operators and the diplomatic corps of Astrakhan city.
Within the framework of the trade and industrial exhibition, NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC held a business-seminar presenting the advantages of conducting business in Kazakhstan with the purpose of attracting the Russian investors to implement investment projects and provided potential investors with the list of niche projects.
For reference: KAZAKH INVEST has launched this project for the first time in 2016. Then leading Kazakhstan companies presented 42 commodity items in Maria-Ra and Kirov regional trading networks of Russia. The event «Weeks of Kazakhstan products in Russia» took place simultaneously in Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Barnaul, Kemerovo, Tomsk and Novokuznetsk that allowed to present products of domestic enterprises in almost 900 outlets.
