Kazakh Invest held a number of meetings with state institutions of Great Britain and Ireland

Deputy Chairman of Board of Kazakh Invest Rustam Isatayev discussed investment cooperation with representatives of state agencies of Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

In London, Rustam Isatayev met with a representative of the Department for International Trade Andrew Keir. This very organization is the governmental department of Great Britain responsible for concluding and expanding trade agreements between the United Kingdom and non-EU countries. The parties discussed the opportunities of joint implementation of investment projects in the territory of Kazakhstan.

Besides, a meeting was held with the leadership of the UK Export Finance which provides state support to exporters and investors by granting insurance and guarantees for banks. The meeting discussed issues of attracting funding through the UKEF.

In addition, consultations and exchange of experience with the Irish State Agency «IDA Ireland» on attracting investments took place in Dublin. It was established in 1949 and now IDA has 28 offices all over the world, is engaged in attracting foreign investments in Ireland.

It is necessary to note, that the meetings were held as part of preparation for Kazakhstan Global Investment Forum which will take place on October 2, 2018 in London. The forum will bring together more than 150 leaders of the largest companies of the region.
