Kazakhstan and the Great Britain are interested in strengthening mutual cooperation

Today, Erlan Khairov, the Chairman of Investment Committee of the Ministry for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with Graeme Stewart, the Minister for Investment of the Ministry of International Trade of the United Kingdom of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of the further development of cooperation in spheres of trade and investments, transit-transport potential, subsoil use and mining.

Erlan Khairov stressed that the Great Britain is one of strategic partners and the large investor of Kazakhstan. He also noted the positive dynamics in the mutual promotion of export and expressed intentions in further strengthening the trade and economic relations, expansion of spheres of mutual cooperation in the sectors of mutual interest.

The Minister Graeme Stew noted the importance of deepening of relations by means of carrying out of bilateral and multilateral events, including under the initiative “One belt - One way” with participation of the Kazakhstan, British and Chinese representative offices.

The parties discussed the implementation of joint projects in such sectors as mining-and-metallurgical complex, new technologies, transport and industry, and expressed mutual in carrying out of the 5-th session of the Kazakhstan-British Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific-Technical and Cultural Cooperation in Astana city.

 Following the meeting, the parties expressed gratitude for the recent conversation, emphasized the importance of the further development of relations between Kazakhstan and the Great Britain.
