Kazakhstan establishes business contacts with the largest Province of Liaoning

Kazakhstan is developing close business links with the largest Province of the North-Eastern region of China. The domestic national company for attracting investments took part in the 3rd Liaoning International Fair for Investment and Trade, reports a correspondent of Khabar 24.

The event is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, jointly with the Committee for the Promotion of International Trade. This year, within the framework of the event, it is planned to sign contracts worth CNY 500 billion.

Traditionally, large enterprises from Japan and South Korea are participating in the Fair. This year, the representatives of Kazakhstan have been invited to attend the Fair for the first time. There was a pavilion of our companies in the Exhibition Hall.

The visitors were presented with the investment potential of the regions of Kazakhstan. Liaoning is the 14th most populated Province in China, with a GDP close to $400 billion last year. Large industrial enterprises are located there, including the production of automobiles, aluminum and chemical production, shipbuilding, and agriculture. Kazakhstan representatives met with some of them.

Zhou Yaguang, Director of the International Center for Scientific and Technical Cooperation, Liaoning Institute of Agricultural Sciences, China:

– Due to its unique geographical location, Kazakhstan has similarities with some of our regions. There are vast opportunities for the development of cooperation in animal breeding and agriculture, including in semi-arid regions. For example, our Institute is proud of such crops as apricots, cotton, kaoliang, which are experimentally grown in Xinjiang. With this similar climate, we could cooperate with Kazakhstan. We hope that we can establish and develop close links with Kazakhstan’s research agricultural structures.
