Head of State received the President of the Islamic Development Bank H.E. Dr. Mohammad Sulaiman Al-Jasser
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Head of the Islamic Development Bank H.E. Dr. Mohammad Sulaiman Al-Jasser and discussed the implementation of a set of joint projects in various sectors of the economy.
The Head of State recalled that Kazakhstan was the first among the CIS countries to develop a partnership program with the IDB. For more than 25 years, the regional representative office in Almaty has been coordinating the bank's operations in Eastern Europe, the CIS, Mongolia and China. This fact demonstrates the high importance and trust relationship between Kazakhstan and the Islamic Development Bank.
- We highly appreciate the long-term support that the Bank provides to the Kazakhstan economy. Over the years of cooperation, the IDB has invested more than $1.6 billion in priority sectors of the economy and social projects in our country, the Head of State said.
Al Jasser informed the Head of State about the Bank's investment policy and plans for the coming period. According to him, the IDB intends to continue investing in the implementation of projects in the sectors, such as business, finance, as well as in the modernization of infrastructure and communications.
