Head of State received Akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on the socio-economic development of East Kazakhstan region for ten months of this year.
According to Akim, the campaign to vaccinate the population is underway in the region. In particular, 100% of the residents to be vaccinated have already received the first component. By December 7, it is planned to complete the vaccination of citizens with the second component.
The President was also informed of the agro-industrial complex development in the region. According to Akim, it is planned to quadruple the export of agricultural products by 2022.
The Head of State was reported that Ulba-TVS plant was recently opened in the region. The enterprise, creating 140 new jobs, will produce equipment for the energy sector. The plant will produce up to 200 tons of uranium fuel per year.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the regional akim to continue the efforts aimed at ensuring uninterrupted supplies of heat and electricity during the heating season, supplying the population with coal, as well as increasing the export of agricultural products.
