The share of renewable energy sources in Kazakhstan to increase up to 15% by 2030

The share of renewable energy sources in Kazakhstan is intended to be increased up to 15% by 2030. Now it is only 3%, a correspondent of Khabar 24 reports.

Do this requires to commission 7 gigawatts of new capacities. Representatives of Arab and French companies will help launch five of them.

Joint projects enable to produce an additional 20 billion kilowatt-hours of “green” energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 8 million tons and create 3,000 jobs.

In total, the sector is planning to attract KZT 3 trillion of investments. The details were discussed at the meeting of the Investment Headquarters. To create favorable conditions for investors, it is planned to introduce the principle of “one stop shop”, as well as to simplify the procedure for formalizing an arbitration agreement.

The meeting also addressed the issues of the healthcare development. In the next four years, Kazakhstan intends to build 20 multidisciplinary hospitals and two scientific and innovative clinics. The Head of the Government instructed to implement the planned projects in time and with high quality, as well as to continue work on attracting investments.
