The People's Republic of China hosted the Kazakhstan-Chinese symposium
Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities in priority sectors of the economy were presented at the Kazakhstan-Chinese investment symposium in Zhejiang Province.
As part of a working visit to Zhejiang Province, the representatives of KAZAKH INVEST JSC in China, as well as the leadership of such large Chinese companies as CHINT Group, Dahua Technology, Power China, Wahaha Group, etc. took part in the event. The symposium was organized with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Shanghai, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China International Chamber for Commerce.
During the event, CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhejiang Zhang Qingshan briefed the meeting participants on the socio-economic development of the region and the activities of CCPIT, as well as the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation of the Province with foreign countries.
Furthermore, Rakhimzhan Rakhimov, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Shanghai highlighted the key goals of the Kazakhstan-China Investment Forum to establish new and long-term contacts between the representatives of the business circles of Kazakhstan and China, as well as to further develop bilateral investment cooperation.
In turn, the General Representative of KAZAKH INVEST NC JSC in China Kuanysh Amantai presented the investment climate of Kazakhstan to the attention of Chinese companies, described the measures taken by the state to support investment projects in priority sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan, as well as the current state of Kazakhstan-Chinese investment cooperation.
Moreover, as part of the event, the Representative Office of KAZAKH INVEST jointly with the General Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Shanghai held a number of meetings with Wahaha Group - major producers of drinking water, CHINT - manufacturers of electrical products, as well as with Dahua Technology - manufacturers of Smart City technologies. Additionally, substantive negotiations were held with the leadership of the Geely Group, one of the leaders of car manufacturers in the PRC. During the meetings, the parties discussed the priority areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as future joint investment projects and the possibilities of their implementation.
