The funds are intended for small and medium-sized enterprises. Entrepreneurs will use these funds to modernize their production facilities, reducing pollutant emissions. This was discussed at an international conference dedicated to the issues of the green economy. Meanwhile, other financial institutions are also ready to provide financial support to domestic business in this direction. At the same time, the Republic intends to start updating the large companies in oil, gas and metallurgical sectors. Detailed reports on the current state of these enterprises will be published by the middle of next year. According to the data obtained, the process of transition to the green economy will start.

Serik Nurkenov, a chief expert of the Bureau of the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects:

- This is not a punitive mechanism, but a stimulating one. Entrepreneurs will be able to improve, modernize their enterprises, equipment by introducing certain practices or improving their state. The most important thing is to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
