Kazakhstan and UAE agreed on investment projects worth $6.1 billion

As part of the working trip to Abu Dhabi, Prime Minister Askar Mamin held talks with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, primeminist.er.kz reports.

The parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, financial and investment, transport and logistics, agro-industrial, petrochemical, space, mining and metallurgical, energy and other areas.

The negotiations between the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UAE resulted in signed a document on investment cooperation to implement 21 projects worth $6.1 billion.

Investment projects include the creation of new production facilities with high added value and profitability, as well as a great demand potential both in the domestic and promising foreign markets. Their implementation will create new high-quality jobs in Kazakhstan, introduce advanced technologies and practices.

The Republic of Kazakhstan and the UAE pay special attention to realizing the potential of cooperation in the agro-industrial complex - 10 out of 21 planned projects focus on the launch of food production with high added value. This will allow Kazakhstan to become an important link of the Food Security Strategy implemented by the UAE until 2051 and will promote further mutually reinforcing trade turnover between the two countries.

The working trip was attended by the Ministers of National Economy R. Dalenov, Justice - M. Beketayev, Akim of Nur-Sultan A. Kulginov, Deputy Chair of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms Zh. Madiyev, Chair of the Board of Baiterek NMH JSC A. Arifkhanov, etc.
