The Ministry of Ecology preparing a strategy for attracting investment in geologic exploration
The Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan will develop a marketing strategy to attract large foreign investors in the country's geologicexploration, as well as a road-show. This was announced by the Head of the Ministry Magzum Mirzagaliyev twittered.
According to the Minister, today the total recoverable hydrocarbon resources of Kazakhstan are estimated at 76.4 billion tons of oil equivalent, there are 15 stand-by tanks which potential needs to be explored.
“One of the strategic tasks in the geologic exploration of the country is the issue of attracting investment in this sector which potential is significant for new discoveries”, twittered Magzum Mirzagaliyev.
“We are discussing with IHS Markit - the leader in the independent analytics and the development of effective strategies, to develop a marketing strategy to attract large foreign investors in the country's geologic exploration, to organize road shows globally in order to attract investors and present the country's investment and geological potential,” said the Minister.
According to the Head of the Ministry of Ecology, attracting investments will allow for comprehensive geological exploration with modern technologies.
“This will give us a reliable picture of the deep geological structure of the entire territory of the basins to the maximum depth, as well as allow us to more fully evaluate our own potential, to discover new deposits and new horizons, to create jobs”, he said.
