The 18th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Chinese Commission on Cooperation in Industrialization and Investment

The 18th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Chinese Commission on Cooperation in Industrialization and Investment under the co-chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Aidarov and the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Reform and Development of the People's Republic of China Mr. N. Jizhe took place on June, 10 this year.

The meeting discussed the implementation of investment projects as well as exchanged views on assistance in their successful implementation and resolution of emerging issues.

Concrete measures were agreed to quickly address the issues related to the transportation of goods and border crossings, as well as the timely delivery of necessary equipment to complete projects.

The parties confirmed plans to complete 7 joint investment projects totaling $576 million in various sectors. 647 jobs will be created after putting these projects into operation.

Measures taken against the pandemic of the COVID-19 were also reviewed.

The parties expressed mutual gratitude for humanitarian assistance in the fight against the global pandemic. The cooperation efficiency, which allowed to reduce the incidence rate in the two countries was noted. The Chinese side also confirmed the readiness to provide additional assistance.
