Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China exceeds USD 20 billion this year
A Chinese expert called the outgoing year special for cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
The visit of Nursultan Nazarbayev in April to participate in the One Belt, One Way Summit and the first visit of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to China in September gave a new impetus to the interaction of the two countries. During the President’s trip, the sixth meeting of the Business Council of Kazakhstan and China was held, where the parties signed a number of commercial agreements.
According to the National Bank of Kazakhstan, in the first half of the year China invested more than USD 900 million of direct investments in our country. And according to the Chinese customs, for the first time in the history of bilateral relations this year, trade will exceed USD 20 billion.

- In the field of investment, we have achieved great results implementing the One Belt, One Way Strategy and the Nurly Zhol Program. China invests mainly in the mining industry, infrastructure construction, agriculture and other related sectors of Kazakhstan. In addition, we can develop investment cooperation in the areas of high technology, innovation, medicine, manufacturing, and tourism.
