KAZAKH INVEST and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan reached an Agreement on Cooperation in Reviewing Investors’ Requests
The General Prosecutor's Office and NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC concluded a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation.
The document regulates the implementation of joint actions between the prosecution authorities and regional representatives of KAZAKH INVEST to protect the investor rights.
According to the parties, the Memorandum will also allow to respond promptly to investors' systemic appeals. Namely, identifying and prompt solving of systemic problems will ensure the assistance and quality support for investors, increase the attractiveness of the Republic for foreign investment and, as a result, improve its position in international ratings, which will also have a positive effect on the country's image
“According to the results of the World Bank's DoingBusiness2020 rating, Kazakhstan improved its position by another 3 points and took 25th place. We intend to continue to make every effort and resources to increase the attractiveness of our country for investment. The signed Memorandum will also be of great assistance, within the framework of which we will actively resolve issues submitted to the Investment Ombudsman for consideration, hold discussions to develop effective measures to resolve systemic issues at the central and regional levels”, said the Chairman of the Board of KAZAKH INVESTMENT JSC Baurzhan Sartbayev.
It should be noted that since the beginning of this year, experts of KAZAKH INVEST Service Support and Post-Investment Monitoring Department rendered assistance in resolving over 30 problematic issues from investors. Including, customs, tax issues, issues related to obtaining the required permits, financing, etc. along with this, more than 170 appeals on visa and migration issues were considered and resolved. At the same time, over the specified period, the Call Center of the company received and processed over 1.700 requests and appeals from entrepreneurs. Activities in this direction will be continued.
