KAZAKH INVEST presented state support measures for renewable energy projects at the Renewable Energy Summit 2019
KAZAKH INVEST presented investment potential and state support measures for renewable energy projects (RE) within the framework of the Renewable Energy Summit 2019 in Nur-Sultan.
During the forum, the Deputy CEO of NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC Birjan Kanesev highlighted that within 9 month of 2019, five renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 250 MW were launched with support of NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC. Thus, for example, 3 new Solar Power Plants (SPP) were commissioned in September. Two projects were implemented by Universal Energy: a 100 MW solar power plant in Almaty region and a 30 MW solar power plant in East Kazakhstan region. Today, a 50 MW solar power plant was commissioned in Agadyr settlement of Karaganda region, the German company Solarnet Investment GmbH is the project investor. This is already the second renewable energy project by Solarnet Investment GmbH in the territory of Karaganda region. Earlier in 2018, the company built a 100 MW solar power plant in Saran town.
In addition, by the end of 2019, it is planned to commission 4 more renewable energy plants with support of JSC NC “KAZAKH INVEST”.
The III International Renewable Energy Summit 2019 was attended by over 300 delegates from 15 countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia, China, South Korea, Ukraine, Great Britain, Israel, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, France, Turkey, Germany, Uzbekistan, Spain, Georgia.
The Summit aims to discuss the pros and cons of the use of renewable energy sources, as well as the implementation of the best ideas and effective solutions necessary for green future of our country and the entire global community.
The main organizer of the event is the Association of Renewable Energy of Kazakhstan, a non-profit organization uniting companies interested in developing green economy and the co-organizer of the Summit is the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy.
It is worth noting that the III Renewable Energy Summit was held as part of KAZAKHSTAN ENERGY WEEK 2019 / XII Eurasian Forum KAZENERGY, hosted by the KAZENERGY Association with support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
