The Central Asian countries are interested in system work on attracting investments

Issues of attracting investments in inter-regional projects were discussed as part of a meeting with participation of Saparbek Tuyakbayev, the Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakh Invest JSC and Zheenbek Kulubayev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kirghiz Republic in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The bilateral meeting was a continuation of the work on improving the investment climate as well as strengthening the regional security. Let’s remind that the Head of the Government had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kirghiz Republic in the Republic of Kazakhstan Zheenbek Kulubayev on January, 28 this year to discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation in the spheres of trade and economy, culture, human welfare, tourism, as well as digitization and smart cities development. In particular, among the discussed issues were the prospects of expansion of export stock-lists to Kyrgyzstan in such branches as metallurgy, food, mechanical engineering, building materials and chemical production. Besides, issues of inter-regional and cross-border interaction were considered.

The Kirghiz side expressed interest in a system approach used by Kazakh Invest National Company when dealing with foreign investors and in the work of Astana International Financial Center and Astana Hub International Technopark of IT Startups.

«We are carefully studying the Decree of Elbasy, whereby he delegated the attraction of investment and export promotion to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Now it is hard to attract investments and clearly, there is a competition among the countries in our region. We have proposals for investors and if there is such a possibility, we would like to send our representatives to you to study Kazakhstan’s successful practices in this sphere», - Mr. Zheenbek Kulubayev said.

In his turn, Saparbek Tuyakbayev detailed the work of the company in attracting foreign investors to Kazakhstan. In particular, he highlighted the work of “the single window” principle and detailed the work of an advanced CRM-system for monitoring and controlling investment projects implementation progress.
