Kazakhstan-Polish Business-Forum held in Warsaw
Kazakhstan’s investment potential and competitive advantages of doing business in the country presented during “Invest in Kazakhstan” Business-Forum in Warsaw.
The Head of the Kazakhstan delegation, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakh Invest JSC Birzhan Kaneshev, acquainted the business-community of Poland with measures of the state support, including investment preferences as part of the investment contract, special economic zones and Astana International Financial Center, as well as with the activity of Kazakh Invest providing by a principle of “one-stop shop” a full range of services on support of investment projects from idea up to implementation and during the post-investment period. Birzhan Kaneshev noted that in this context, the basic directions of work of the company are revealing, packing of new projects and searching for local partners, targeting of large foreign companies, attracting investment in the economy and promoting Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities.
The Polish businessmen were interested in the opportunities of doing business in Kazakhstan, competitive advantages for foreign investments in the context of Development Strategy “Kazakhstan-2050”, as well as Addresses of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on social and economic modernization of the country.
The forum was attended by Kazakhstan and Polish companies representing sectors of agriculture, energy, construction and production of building materials, food, chemical, mining and pharmaceutical industries. Among the Kazakhstan companies are Kazakhstan Development Bank JSC, Astana International Financial Center, Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund Ltd, NC Kazakh Invest JSC. The Polish party is presented by such companies, as: Rohlig Suus Logistics SA, Polcotton, BGK, Bank Pekao, Plastiape, Mirbud, STX One, Polontex S.A., FCA, ZetTransport, Towarzystwo Inwestycyjne BTA, Pelion, DDB Group, Billon, Legato, HSH Chemie, Kabanek S.C., Mysak, JMR Europe, Instar ITS, financial and commodity stock exchanges of Warsaw, etc.
A number of arrangements were reached within the framework of bilateral meetings. So, the negotiations of AsylGrain and Polcotton were resulted in reaching the arrangement on project development to produce and process oilseeds. During the meeting, the representatives of Astana International Financial Center and the Warsaw Stock Exchange agreed to cooperate. The agenda of the meetings of Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund Ltd, Kazakhstan Development Bank JSC and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) was the discussion of conditions of joint cooperation on financing projects.
Organizers of the forum are the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Poland and National Company Kazakh Invest JSC jointly with the Polish Business Council with the support of the Ministry for Business and Technologies of Poland, and also the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade.
According to organizers, the purpose of the forum is to promote the trade and economic, investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland, to strengthen the current and to adjust new direct contacts between business partners of two countries, to present investment projects, opportunities, mechanisms for business support in Kazakhstan.
«The forum became the first concrete step of the Ministry after the transformations within the framework of implementing the objectives set by the Head of the state on economization of the activity at diplomatic services», - organizers of the Business-Forum said.
