400 British companies work in Kazakhstan

The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Great Britain has a 2 % increase and accounted for USD 1 billion 300 million.

That was announced by Zhenis Kassymbek, the Minister for Investment and Development at the 5-th session of the Intergovernmental Commission. He said that the issues of investment stressed in the Address of the President, are gradually being resolved. The countries actively cooperate in many sectors, including education, financial environment, mechanical engineering and civil aircraft.

Let's note that for today 400 British companies function in the Republic. They cover industrial, financial, legal and technological areas.

Zhenis Kassymbek, the Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan: 

- Great Britain is a big investor for us. 5 % of the total amount of investment in Kazakhstan, takes the 6-th place among the countries-investors. Today we discussed a number of large projects, in particular in agriculture - joint implementation of the meat processing project. Discussed issues in the mining sector.
