Aktau hosted the Summit of heads of the Caspian Sea States

Intergovernmental cooperation agreement in transport was signed in Aktau within the framework of the 5-th Summit of heads of the Caspian Sea States.

On the Kazakhstan party, it was signed by the Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kasymbek.

The document is setting the stage for the development of the Caspian region as the international transport-logistical hub and increasing of trade turnover between participants.

In 2017 the total amount of cargo turnover of Kazakhstan with the Caspian Sea States amounted to over 100 million tons.

So, the agreement provides the further development of the sea, automobile, railway, air and multimodal transportations.   

The document is expected to take measures aimed at developing regular navigation, including cruise, introducing intellectual transport systems, developing attractive pay scale provisions, applying mechanisms of preliminary informing, exchanging of experience in development of personnel potential and etc.
