Supermodern complex “Abai Arena” to be constructed in Semey city

At the meeting of regional akimat in Semey city the head of region Danial Akhmetov presented the project of the cultural and sports complex “Abai Arena”. Telling the city public about the project, akim of region noted that this is the unique complex that will give new momentum to cultural and sports life of the city.

- We have performed the feasibility study of the project. We will start the construction this year in Karagaily residential district that embodies the diversity of modern architecture. “Abai Arena” will give new momentum to development of culture and sport in the city. The construction will have interesting architectural image, stand out Semey among other cities. It will be universal. It will be possible to hold various events in the huge hall. In the fine water complex with the pool will give classes in synchronized swimming, and in general for health improvement of citizens. Its construction is devoted to the 300 anniversary of Semey, - head of region Danial Akhmetov noted.

The sports construction will be built in the new residential district Karagaily. The area of the complex will be over 14 thousand square meters. The facade will be executed by aluminum panels by the principle of “ventilated façade”. More effective it will be made by a media facade.

The complex constructed according to all international standards will hold competitions in different types of sport. The pool is intended for holding tournaments, classes in swimming, water aerobics, water polo and diving, improving swimming of the population.
