Over 60 renewable energy projects to be launched in Kazakhstan until 2025
Over 60 projects of renewable energy sources will be launched during the next four years, a correspondent of Khabar 24 reports. Their total capacity is 2,400 MW with the volume of investments almost $2,5 billion.
This was announced at the meeting of the Council for Investment Climate Improving, chaired by Askar Mamin.
The Government intends to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 15% by 2030, as well as to increase the share of renewable energy sources up to 6%.
Now in Kazakhstan there are 124 renewable energy facilities: 31 wind, 48 solar, 40 hydro and 5 bioelectric power plants. 25 projects were launched last year.
