Turkish investors started to implement a social project in East Kazakhstan region
A new heat source (boiler house) is under construction in Gluboky settlement of East Kazakhstan region. The project of the Turkish company Mimsan Endustri Kazanlari Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. JSC is being implemented within the framework of the public-private partnership. The period of the PPP project implementation is 12 years, 10 of which the facility will be managed by the investor.
The project involves the construction of a heat source with a total capacity of 30 Gcal per hour with the installation of three modern boilers. It will be mainly fueled by coal, with a coal consumption of no more than 15,000 tons per heating season.
The total investment in the project will amount to over KZT4.5 billion. Including, construction and installation work is estimated at KZT1.4 billion, equipment (software, hardware, server) worth KZT 2.7 billion. The remaining funds will be spent for project management.
“PPP projects are actively developing in the region. The joint efforts of the leadership of the region and KAZAKH INVEST and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkey have currently enhanced the interest in implementing the social and infrastructure projects through the public-private partnership mechanism involving foreign investors. This project is co-financed by the state in the amount of 40% of the cost. Thus, the state will invest over KZT1.6 billion of budgetary funds in the project, and Turkish businessmen will invest more than KZT2.8 billion,” said Nartai Beisekov, East Kazakhstan Regional Director of NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC.
According to the investors, the new boiler house will generate heat using the latest energy-efficient technologies, significantly reduce the consumption of organic fuel and reduce emissions into the atmosphere.
According to preliminary data of private partners, electricity consumption at the facility will be decreased by 50%, and fuel costs - by 25%.
