Zharma district of East Kazakhstan region advances further towards the green energy, a correspondent of Khabar 24 reports.
A solar power plant with a capacity of 30 megawatts is successfully operating in Zhangiztobe settlement. This is the only renewable energy facility in the region so far. The station covers a huge area of 66 hectares. Almost 3,000 solar panels are administered by only 14 people. In summer, the facility generates up to 200,000 kilowatt hours per day. Over KZT10 billion has been invested in the green energy project. A wind farm is under construction there too. Its capacity will amount to 30 megawatts.
Denis Krokhalyev, a power plant shift supervisor: - We have many territories with a lot of sunny days. I think we have enough space to build such power plants, train specialists, so that all this would operate and be useful. I believe that this method of generating electricity is our future, as all ecological projects are now supported by our state.
