AIFC intends to grant a five-year visa to investors

It is intended to grant a five-year visa to investors of the Astana International Financial Center.

Corresponding amendments to the constitutional law were considered today at the plenary meeting in Mazhilis, Khabar 24 reports.

If a foreign citizen is ready to invest at least USD60,000 annually in the economy of Kazakhstan, he or she will be able to obtain the status of an investment resident. For this, the AIFC will develop a special investment and tax residence program. A potential investor will have to go through the necessary procedures to meet the criteria. After approval of the candidacy, the AIFC administration will make a petition to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It should be noted that residents will be able to get a long-term visa only after they pass the verification of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Security Committee.
