Kazakhstan Investment Opportunities Forum held in New York
A meeting with business representatives concerning Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities was held at the New York Chamber of Commerce, Khabar 24 correspondent reports.
The event was organized by the Consulate General of our country in New York jointly with the Kazakhstan - USA Trade Association and a representative office of the national company Air Astana in New York.
The meeting was attended by representatives of New York companies representing large and medium-sized businesses in such sectors as financial and banking services, consulting, construction, real estate, development of smart cities, promotion of export of goods, IT services, and other sectors. They were acquainted with the investment climate of Kazakhstan, business conditions, and promising projects in the light of the adoption of a new architecture to attract investment and plans for the development of an ecosystem to support foreign investors, announced at the current extended meeting of our Government. The Consul General of Kazakhstan in New York, Zhanibek Abdrashov, informed the participants about new approaches to actively attracting foreign investment, functioning of the AIFC that is a regional hub in the work with investors. The representative of Kazakh Invest in the United States Daulet Saudabayev presented the activities of this national company. He spoke about the comprehensive measures taken to modernize the country's economy, to improve investment and tax policies, and to improve the production and transport infrastructure. It was noted that thanks to the measures being implemented, the growth in investment in the economy of Kazakhstan shows a positive trend. Last year, the inflow of foreign direct investment in Kazakhstan increased by 15.8%, to USFD 24 billion. The meeting also held bilateral negotiations of Kazakhstan representatives with the leadership of several New York companies engaged in various sectors of the economy.

- American business has an interest, and it is very important that Kazakhstan has created a good mechanism as the Coordination Council to solve all those vital issues for the attraction of investors in our country. And our task here is to orient companies not only large, but also small, medium, which have investment opportunities and invest their funds in other countries of the world, because America has comprehensive economy, and New York is the top financial center in the world, and there are a lot of companies. Kazakhinvest today goes precisely to the AIFC base and we have the principle of single window, and any investor coming into our market will be fully accompanied from the beginning to the end.
