Kazakhstan is seen as a leader in attracting foreign investment in Central Asia.

Our country accounts for nearly 70 % of all financial investment in the region. Thus, the most preferred sector for investors is the mining industry. This sector accounts for almost half of all investment. The trade holds the third place by popularity. Nearly USD 2 billion is directed to the trade only for the first half-year. The transport infrastructure is among the the top three most interesting sectors with USD400 million of attracted investment.
