Head of region held a meeting focused on implementation of investment projects

Today akim of region Danial Akhmetov held a meeting regarding implementation of investment projects, assumed to be realized through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and concession agreements.

Following the results of the meeting, the head of region gave a range of concrete instructions to heads of responsible public agencies concerning implementation of the prepared projects.

For today agencies of akimat of East Kazakhstan region have signed Credit agreements and Preliminary agreements on 9 projects worth KZT 43 billion.

Modernization of systems of water supply and water disposal, heat supply, street lighting of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey cities is planned within the attracted funds of the financial institution of development,. Also in two large cities of the region we intend to realize projects on modernization of public transport.

This year it is planned to sign the preliminary agreements on construction of the bridge crossing across the Buhtarma Reservoir in Kurchum district, modernization of the street lighting system of cities and district centers of region, modernization of engineering infrastructure of Ziryan town. Total amount of all projects makes up about KZT38 billion.

In general, 135 projects of East Kazakhstan region worth KZT 250 billion are under consideration of the EBRD.
