11 memorandums worth KZT 209 billion were signed at Aktobe Invest 2017

Aktobe will produce wind-powered generators and saltpeter. Such an arrangement has been reached with investors within the framework of the international forum “Aktobe Invest 2017”.

Financial partners have been arrived in the region for the fifth year. They share their view that Aktobe has a favorable climate for business development. Delegations from 20 countries of the world have arrived this time.

The investor from Germany will invest EUR 84 million in the economy of the region. The investor will construct a wind-powered generator producing plant in the industrial zone. 150 installations will be fitted up per year with attraction of the European technologies. It is planned to supply them to the local market, and also to export in Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan.

Michael Pauls, Director General of the company /Germany/:

 - We have already started to invest. Almost EUR 21 million will be invested in the construction. EUR 30 million will be invested next year and, thus, up to EUR 84 million. Frankly speaking, the state supports very well: tax exemption on customs, exemption from many types of taxes, providing with natural grants that is there is much to be listed.

Favorable investment climate attracts tens of foreign companies in Aktobe. The most perspective investment projects were traditionally presented at the exhibition. Among them - field development of brown coal, titanium-zirconia ores in Temirsky district, construction of mining-metallurgical complex, cement and electric-furnace melting plants. One of the largest holdings of the United Arab Emirates was interested in investment cooperation.

Muhammad Al-Tannir, Director General of the Group of Companies “Al Masud” /UAE/:

 - I’ve long known about potential of the Aktyubinsk region and arrived here with the purpose of studying it further. Our company is interested in joint projects in oil and gas. I familiarized with many enterprises and shaped plans which will be discussed with board of directors. I hope for the further cooperation.

Also the potential investors were presented new technologies of the exhibition EXPO 2017 which are being introduced at the Aktyubinsk enterprises. The regional administration hopes for long-term financing of non-raw-material projects of the economy and attraction of new foreign investments into “green” economy of the region.

Berdybek Saparbayev, Akim of Aktyubinsk region:

 - Environmental problems are of great importance, especially in relation to and the use of nonconventional power sources. In the work of EXPO 2017 heads of enterprises and companies have chosen 20 projects worth US$ 128 million. And now we are working to introduce these projects in our region.

Serik Akhmetalin, Director of the Aktyubinsk Polyethylene Pipe Plant:

 - Having visited exhibition EXPO 2017, we’re adopting the experience of foreign countries - Germany, Australia - on installation of the gas-turbine station that will lead to threefold lower costs. We are developing the design estimate documentation and we hope to implement the project within 2-3 years.

11 memorandums worth KZT209 billion were signed at the forum. Among them - association and industrial cooperation between Aktyubinsk and Kostanai regions, construction of saltpeter and carbamide producing plant and expansion of pharmaceutical production. Besides, cooperation with the Orenburg region will be continued. The local producer has concluded the memorandum on the supply of meat to the Russian Federation. And with a view to expand the bilateral communications with Italy a representation office of the Embassy of this country will be opened in Aktobe.
